We are glad to announce the release of the D2.1 report titled "Description of the Existing Gaps (1st Cycle)" prepared by Fraunhofer as part of the DIREKTION project. This report represents a significant step in our mission to enhance disaster resilience across Europe.
The D2.1 report is a comprehensive analysis that identifies and prioritizes critical capability gaps in the disaster resilience sector. Task 2.1, which forms the foundation of this report, builds on the framework established in our earlier work (WP1) and leverages insights from international networks and previous projects, including FIRE-IN, MEDEA, IFAFRI, DRMKC, GADRI, and FEMA.
Key Highlights:
Identification and categorization of critical capability gaps within disaster resilience.
Prioritization based on relevance, urgency, and market availability.
Validation through a dedicated workshop involving practitioner partners and stakeholders.
The insights from this report will guide future project activities, including the screening of potential solutions (WP3) and exploring market opportunities (WP4).
This report marks an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to deliver impactful solutions that strengthen disaster resilience across Europe. We invite you to read the full report and join us in our mission to create a safer, more resilient future.
