10th SAF€RA Joint Call launched - "Innovative solutions and technologies to improve safety of workers and emergency responders.”

🔔 SAF€RA has officially launched its 10th Joint Call for Research Proposals, focusing on: "Innovative solutions and technologies to improve safety of workers and emergency responders.”

The strong focus of the SAF€RA 10th Joint Call on emergency responders reflects priorities regularly discussed within both the SAF€RA and DIREKTION communities.

Exchanges between the two networks have contributed to strengthening the visibility of responder safety and operational needs in research programming discussions.

This call supports applied research and innovation addressing industrial safety challenges and the protection of workers and first responders in hazardous environments.

📌 The 2026 call covers three research topics:

1️⃣ Robotics and innovative technologies and approaches to increase safety and reduce the exposure of workers and emergency responders

2️⃣ Understanding materials to improve safety and reduce the exposure of workers and emergency responders

3️⃣ Improving risk assessment and risk management practices using big-data, AI, and numerical modelling
