🌍 Today is the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.

The 2026 theme, “Resilience Starts at Home,” reminds us that disaster resilience begins long before an emergency occurs, with preparedness, awareness and the capacity to anticipate and reduce risks. 

For DIREKTION, the Disaster Resilience Knowledge Network, this also means ensuring that those responsible for protecting communities have access to the right capabilities, knowledge and innovative solutions when they are needed.
