The DIREKTION Assessment & Screening Framework (DASF - https://www.direktion-network.org/dasf) was developed to support a recurring challenge in disaster resilience research: how to move systematically from operational capability gaps to the identification and assessment of relevant innovative solutions.

A new video tutorial is now available to guide users through the web-based tool and its methodology.

For the emergency responders and for the next generation of Disaster Resilient Society (DRS) projects, we strongly encourage you to make use of it.

Why?

🔹 to structure the identification and assessment of operational needs

🔹 to provide a common approach for screening innovative solutions

🔹 to strengthen the involvement of practitioners in the assessment process

🔹 to facilitate comparison, knowledge transfer and capitalisation across projects

🔹 and, ultimately, to help promising solutions move closer to validation and operational uptake

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗔𝗦𝗙 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗞𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱.

👉 We invite future DRS projects, practitioners and innovation managers to test it, use it and build on it.
