UNDRR Sasakawa Award for Disaster Risk Reduction is now open

The 2025 United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Sasakawa Award for Disaster Risk Reduction is now open for nominations under the theme, "Connecting science to people: democratizing access to innovation and technology for disaster-resilient communities."

Nominations close on March 28, 2025.

The award celebrates efforts to promote inclusive, science-based solutions that enhance community resilience in the face of disasters.

Individuals, organizations, and institutions working in #DisasterRiskReduction are encouraged to submit nominations.

The winners will be recognized during the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction on June 5, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.
